Today is good for rest so that your body can be adjusted to the altitude easily and quickly. You are recommended to drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep for making an adjustment to the long journey ahead.
Today after breakfast, you will visit the Potala Palace of the Dalai Lama, a treasure of Tibetan culture was, till 1965 the seat of both religion and politics in Tibet and quite possibly, the singularly most important building in all Tibet. It was built in the seventh century by Tsongtsen Gampo as a fort and later renovated by the fifth Dalai Lama in the seventeenth century to its present specifications. Your next stop will be Norbulingkha the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, which was built, in the eighteenth century. Stay overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
Today, you will visit the Drepung Monastery. This is the largest monastery in the world and once housed 10,000 monks and nuns. It was built in 1419 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lamas lived and were entombed here. Your next stop will be the Jokhang Temple. This is the holiest shrine of Tibet and houses a golden statue of the Buddha, which was brought to Tibet by the Chinese princess "Wen Chen". You then stop off at Barkhor Bazaar outside the Jokhang monastery. This is a bustling flea market and is, generally, the place to buy souvenirs and meet other tourists. Early in the morning excursion in a monastery of Tashilhunpo (it is based on 1447), visiting a temple of the Buddha and also other monasteries. Your today’s riding occurs in the capital of a province of Tsang - Shigatse - residence Panchen Lama - the second ecclesiastic of Tibet. Stay overnight at hotel.
Your today’s journey takes you over two high passes of more than 5000 meters with fantastic views. Driving over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet, Lakes, thousands of yaks and sheep grazing on pastureland keep you busy. By the late afternoon, you will cross Bhramha Purtra River to a typical Tibetan town, Saga. Stay overnight at hotel.
Today’s journey starts with full of excitement, by the late afternoon you can have the first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat (Mountain) and Manasarovar Lake. You will stop at a small village nearby Lake Manasarovar. Stay overnight at hotel.
Manasarovar is a popular Lake among Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh communities for compassion, tranquility and bliss. After participating in the morning Puja and holy bath in the morning, we will drive towards Tarchen. It is also considered as a Base Camp of the Kailash Mountain.
Trekking is necessary to complete Kailash Parikrama (Circuit). It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs, waterfalls and clear blue sky and some fascinating cloud formation make you feel Shiva, the super God in Hindu Religion is is truly exists there. You will walk about 15 km in around 6-7 hours of time.
Today covers the hardest part of your journey, but it is the holiest day for pilgrimage tour participants. You will cross Dolma-La pass of 5613 meters. After you pass Shiva-Sthal, your steps go closer to the pass. Once you reach the top, you can do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation to acknowledge yourself. On your descending route, you will see Parvati-Stal and Gauri Kunda. Finally, you will go down to Zuthal Puk (the mysterious cave). Stay overnight at hotel.
About 3 hours of walking, you will wrap up Kailash Parikrama (trekking). Drive from Tarchen to Saga. Stay overnight at hotel.
Today is an easy driving back to Shigatse town which is the second biggest town of Tibet. You can also make city sightseeing after arriving at Shigatse. Stay overnight at hotel.
You will drive continuously to Lhasa that takes about 8 hours. Stay overnight at hotel in Lhasa.
Fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
