Experience Trekking in the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.
Trekking has been one of the most important activities of tourists in Nepal. Four of the most popular trekking regions are Kanchenjunga, Everest, Manaslu, and Annapurna in Nepal.Trekkers have to acquire their permits, either from a trekking agent or from the appropriate offices in Kathmandu. Trekkers can find food and accommodation and meet other trekkers. Most of the trails are well-maintained and in many cases are sign-posted. The lodges have services and facilities for charging batteries and the villages have email facilities. Many treks start with a domestic flight in the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal and many are in remote areas with no road access. Trekkers can find a trail at any time. The southern areas of Nepal receive higher levels of precipitation. However, some routes along the Great Himalaya Trails lie in the rain shadow, namely Mustang to the north of Annapurna and Manaslu, Dolpo to the north of Dhaulagiri and the far west of Nepal to the north of Saipal Himal. Dear Bejay and Bobby, As we said, it is our first trip to Asia and frist trip to Nepal. My dream was to see the Himalayan and to do some hikking/trekking in them .So we did not manage to trek as far as I had hopefully wished-But our guide Pnbhat and you and the porter cared for us and took us slowly slowly to Poon Hill. Yes the Jam stat and the walk up in the dark was worth it as we were lucky and had a wonderful view. So we had to shorten our trek because all the walking up and down-more stone-steps! Became too much for Paul and his knee and our 65+ years. You were very understanding-Thank you! After the cold nights of the trek our hot water bottles were really good.It was lovely to be warm in pokhara and then Chitwan National Park. We really enjoyed Patan Durbar Square and the meuseum-a wonderful introduction which would have been good at the beginning.Staying the night at Bhaktapur was peaceful after hecti Kathmandu-apart from the prayer bells! and easy from the airport.Bobby and Bijay Thank you for making the arrangements for a trip that we will always remember.Katlerne and Paul- Essex flat landers(England)
